Children’s rehabilitation in V4 countries

The Gézenguz Foundation together with the Renoma Rehabilitation INC. (Slovakia) and Treatment Rehabilitaton Centre (Czech Republic) has applied for funding to the Internation Visegrad Fund.

Our project was submitted by the International Fisegrad Fund with 6.000 Euros.

Description of the project:

Cooperation of organizations on the field of children’s rehabilitation, in­depth understanding their work, transfer of know­how and experience with the goal of long term cooperation. The cooperating organizations can experience the activities of the partners, the implemented operational and professional methods, the development work. The goal is the exchange of positive and efficient results, experiencing good practices which are serving the development of the children.

During the project the cooperating partners can get to know the implemented methods on the field in framework of field trips and workshops. As a result of the co­operational project we prepare workbook in 4 languages for the experts of the project partners and an internet based informative brochure for the parents and inhabitants. 1. Preparation: An operational meeting of 1 expert of each partner organisation. The aim is to prepare the schedule of the project. Preparation of field trips and information packages of the partners. The determination of the date of the workshops, preparation of the invitations. 2. Workshops: 3 professional workshops on the field of children’s rehabilitation, each in the framework of explanation of an actual, concrete topic. Main goal: Get to know the framework of operation, legal conditions of each partner. Discussion of actual rehabilitation topics and methods in order to support the education of professionals, the development of the children and their family. Planned topics: Early detection, screening, diagnostics and prevention; Therapeutic option, possibilities for handicapped children; Family support possibilities. 3. Organisation of field trips in cooperation with project partners. Main goal: Practical knowledge of the rehabilitation activities of the project partners., introduction of good practices, experience­ and know­how transfer. 4. Final workshop:Summarization of the experiences and results of the project, development of cooperation, determination of future activities and projects. Press conference and introduction of the workbook and informational brochure.
